Mar Ivanios College is a private autonomous college, established in the year 1949 and has partnered with the University of Kerala. The college is re-accredited by NAAC and approved by UGC. The college offers a total of 12 undergraduate and 8 postgraduate courses in different specialisations like financial matters, English, business, news-casting and mass correspondence, science, physical science, science, zoology, natural science and biotechnology.Mar Ivanios College was the first college to get a NAAC accreditation in 1999 at the University of Kerala. The college was made autonomous remaining by the University of Kerala upon directions from UGC in June 2014. Mar Ivanios College secured the 36th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 among the segment of Arts, Science, and Commerce universities. According to the NIRF 2022 ranking, Mar Ivanios College was ranked 50th among the top schools in India.The MIC courses are offered in Economics, English (aided and independent), Commerce (aided and independent), Journalism and Mass Communication, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Botany and Biotechnology. Additionally, two Bachelor of Vocation (BVoc) programmes under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (DDU-KAUSHAL) Kendra, in Software Development and Tourism and Hospitality Management. Post-Graduate programmes incorporate English, Malayalam with Media Studies, Commerce, Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Zoology. The MIC admission process is easy so that the students don't have to face any problems while applying for admission to the college.
